Exclusive residential quarter for Constance
190 tons of steel girders elaborately installed
With the Laubenhof, a carefully designed building ensemble with attractive condominiums was created in the middle of Constance on the site of the former Vincentius Hospital. The site-defining building frames the idyllic landscaped courtyard and offers a communal oasis of tranquility in the middle of the bustling city center. SÜLZLE Nutzeisen was commissioned by Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH to supply a prefabricated stiffener and chord structure weighing around 190 tons and made of HEM profiles in S355 for rental from September to October 2020.
The extremely complex installation was expertly carried out by Markgraf Schweißfachbetrieb GmbH. In order for this to be carried out smoothly, the girders had to be prefabricated in advance with an exact fit and in some cases with shifter and miter cuts. At the moment, the removal is in progress and the girders are being taken back by SÜLZLE Nutzeisen in order to be able to reuse them in other construction projects after reconditioning. This means that the girders can also be used several times here in terms of sustainability.
