SÜLZLE Nutzeisen picks up the substructure of the thyssenkrupp test tower

SÜLZLE Nutzeisen specializes in the repurchase and return of beams and steel construction. A few months ago, the company received an assignment to take back the substructure delivered in 2016 for the crane used to erect the thyssenkrupp test tower in Rottweil.

The challenge here was the height of the substructure, which had grown to around 240 m during the construction period together with the crane. The solution was provided by a transport helicopter requested by the customer from Austria. With a maximum lifting capacity of 4.5 tons, it brought the entire steel construction as well as the crane to the ground individually and safely. At the foot of the test tower, the scheduled trucks were already waiting to transport the steel construction to  the nearby warehouse in Sulz-Bergfelden.
